Senegal's first tower equipped with Helipad

Image
Tour Kadhafi (Gaddafi Tower) Height: some people say 250m (820ft) Floors: at least 50 Developer: Libya Status: Approved, construction due to begin in the end of 2007, tower due to open between 2009 and 2011. The tower will cost an estimated 150 million euros (210 million US dollars) to build, financed by Libya. It will contain among other things a five star hotel with 350 rooms, a conference hall sitting 2500 people, a shopping mall, and two underground levels of parking. A helicopter landing pad will be located on top of the tower. Here are screenshots from the evening news on Senegalese television. General view of the tower. The structure is meant to represent both a palm tree and a drill emerging from a water well in the desert. Some glass pool and rooftop pools under development in Senegal
