DIY helicopter project from Ukraine
HOW VINNITSA CREATED A HOMEMADE HELICOPTER
In artisanal conditions, 46-year-old signalman Anatoly Stafiychuk from the border village of Bronnitsa, Mogilev-Podolsk district, Vinnitsa region, made a helicopter. The man believes that his equipment may be needed in case of an emergency to control the border.
Since childhood, A. Stafiychuk dreamed of flying, so he created his own model at a mature age. As Vinnitsa.info writes, no one except him controlled it. The engineer admitted that you need to have experience to fly. He himself flew about 12 hours. The garage serves as a hangar. Anatoly rises into the air only over the village, although a helicopter without refueling can fly for about an hour, climb 2 kilometers and reach a speed of 100 km / h.
If the security forces need Stafiychuk's help, he will control his helicopter on his own. There are several reasons for this. And not only formal ones, such as the fact that the apparatus is private and has not passed the necessary registration. The helicopter is not easy to fly.
“When piloting, two arms and two legs are involved. And any movement of the arm or leg accompanies all other movements. Therefore, it is very difficult to operate the car, ”the designer notes.
The author of the car admits that he spent more than 10 years and almost $ 2000 on its creation and testing. But along with the work, the inventor estimates it at $ 80,000, although he assures that he is not going to sell it.
“I want this car to stay in my garage. Or I'll give it to the museum. Because technology is moving forward. But there should be such a machine. Children grow up. They need to see that this can be done. They can get off the ground on such a machine, ”states the inventor.
