Heli Light ULM France & our heli project
Thank you Heli Light ULM France for your free demonstration flight in your Kompress 2 seat helicopter, this kindness led to thinking of a future project in the development of Electric Optionally Piloted helicopter.
This project should be ideally operated from MIT Electric Vehicles Lab, it would strive to develop electric helicopter and charging system by attracting cooperation of Solar Roadways so that the roadways can generate solar power, which can be used to power ULM helicopters.
As more people realize flying electric or sustainable aviation fuelled (SAF) ultralight helicopters has lower environmental impact, they will be willing to adopt it to their needs.
After contacting Leepu Awlia to contribute to this project, he shared his desire to give the chopper his personal design touch and invite documentaries to air a series of cool sustainable helicopters.
The companies which we would like to sponsorship from for the development of these sustainable ultralight helicopters include but not limited to: Honda & Zero Motorcycles for batteries and drive train, ABB for energy management system and Local Motors Arizona for 3D printing as much of the helicopter parts as possible.
