Hi !

I'm Mr. Vishnu Vijaykumar Nair, a B.E. Mechanical Final year student from Brahma Valley College of Engineering, Nashik. I belong to a lower middle class family, helpless to raise fund for the project by my own. It is my dream to since childhood to fly high as well as serve  the Nation in different aspects. Hence, my career aim is to become an Indian Air-Force Fighter Pilot. Other than becoming an Air-Force Officer, I wish to build my own flying machine that could be used in some critical as well as regular conditions.

So, here I came out with a decision to build an Experimental Ultralight Single seat Helicopter that could be used by Military as surveillance equipment, by Medical for quick transport of medicines & other emergency transportation (e.g. transportation of organs, etc.) Also I'll be trying to create a record of the cheapest helicopter ever built.

I'm good at using CAD Software and have already made a design regarding this project in it which is currently been tested for its safety aspects. Also the drawings are made ready for the components that is successful under testing.

This Helicopter will feature a single main rotor and tail rotor, a single-seat open cockpit without a windshield, skid landing gear and a two-cylinder, liquid-radiator cooled, 4-stroke engine (approx 40 to 50 HP)

The aircraft fuselage will be made from 6061-T6 aluminium tubing, with a strong fiberglass or aluminium sheet tail boom. Its two-bladed rotor has a diameter of 5.5 m (18.0 ft) and a chord of 17 cm (6.7 in). The cyclic control is routed via the center of the rotor mast and the main rotor transmission is a poly "V" belt. The aircraft will have an approx empty weight of 165 kg (364 lb) and a gross weight of 250 kg (552 lb), giving a useful load of 85 kg (188 lb). With full fuel of 19 liters, the payload for the pilot and baggage is 100 kg (221 lb).

General characteristics

Crew:                                  one
Empty weight:                   165 kg (364 lb)
Gross weight:                    250 kg (552 lb)
Fuel capacity:                    19 liters (petrol)
Power plant:                      4-Stroke, Liquid-cooled, 40 to 60 hp engine
Main rotor diameter:       5.5 m (18 ft 1 in)

Currently I'm lagging in economical support for which I'm creating this fundraiser.
The approximate fudging required to build this project is up to ₹ 6,00,000/- (approx.)
I will be utilizing this money  in following ways:

1. Raw materials:- 6061-T6 grade Aluminium alloy   = ₹ 80,000/- (approx)
Pipes and rods : ₹300/- per kg
                Plates : ₹400/-per kg
2. Gear Box and other standard components           = ₹ 70,000/- (approx)
3. Machining cost                                                           = ₹ 2,00,000/- (approx)
4. Engine (40 to 60 HP) may cost up to                       = ₹ 1,50,000/- (approx)
5. Donation transaction, GST & website fees 23% to 26% = ₹ 1,26,500/- to ₹1,43,000/-
6. Additional cost for any rework if needed   = (depends on components to be re worked)

Currently, this project is purely experimental based & is not for sale.
The sole purpose of this project is to provide an opportunity to my career in aerospace as well as make continuous development on the same so that it could be made according to standards & introduce a possibility of the concept of introducing ultralight single seat helicopter in military, medical & private services in India.

I request you to please do donate some amount according to your capability or at least please do share this link.

With all your love, care & support, I sure can build even better project that I'm still working on.

Thank You :)
